Randy Schwehr started Real Montana Charcoal in April of 2008 in Hamilton, Montana. The deep snow levels during the winter of 2016/2017 made him start looking South for better wintering grounds. He decided on West Texas and moved the main charcoal facility to the Sierra Blanca area. He met the love of his life Prateang (Som) Phuksue on November 17th 2019. He knew she was the one when he asked the most important question. "How would you feel about living on a ranch, off grid, in the middle of nowhere and the closest grocery store is 49 miles away". Her Reply changed both of their lives forever. "I could not ever think about living anywhere else". She definitely did not know what she was in for. Som came the the USA on a 3 month K-1 Visa. The two got married December 21 of 2019. Since this time the have been slowly building their dream ranch, farm and home as well. Together they have reached a milestone year and will be selling Eggs, Produce Akita Puppies and possibly Goats the Summer of 2022. With Dairy products following in 2023.
